Since 2001, Sunshine Toyota on the Sunshine Coast has been a locally owned and operated family business dedicated to the motoring needs of the Sunshine Coast community.  Dealer Principal, Darren Venning, has had a long association with Toyota both in Adelaide and on the Sunshine Coast and is committed to not only upholding the high quality standards Toyota sets, but also to fostering a customer-centric, community-minded culture in our business. We are committed to our community and take great pride in our many partnerships on the Sunshine Coast (for more info see below). We are proud sponsors of the Buderim Foundation, The Alex Surf Club and Wishlist and we regularly volunteer for these organisations. We participate in National School Tree Day with Talara Primary College and The Currimundi Special School and we sponsor the Sunshine Coast Grammar School Basketball team.  At Sunshine Toyota on the Sunshine Coast, employees are encouraged to be active in community groups and our team’s interests range from fishing groups, fitness programs, coaching kids rugby, Oztag and volunteering for Surfing for the Disabled.

Sunshine Toyota and Kaizen

We are big believers in the continuous improvement of our business and have a Kaizen Committee dedicated to just this. Kaizen is the Japanese business philosophy of continuous improvement of working practices and efficiency. Our committee is made up of team members from different sectors of our company who meet regularly to discuss how to better our business. We love our team to be involved and they are encouraged to put forward ideas and rewards are given for any ideas implemented. One of the ideas that was put forward by a team member in 2016 was a process to alert our service customers if their registration was due for renewal, therefore ensuring our customers and their technicians were never driving an unregistered vehicle and running the risk of a fine. An idea that we are currently focussing on is finding ways to significantly reduce the amount of paper used in our business. Our Service Advisors have already switched from paper repair orders to tablets on our Service Driveway and we are excited to explore more options this year.
