The moment is here for serious off-road enthusiasts. Toyota has given its HiLux a dose of toughness, style, and refinement with the launch of the new 4x4 double cab Rugged X, Rogue, and Rugged models. The three new models have been designed for the Aussie buyers and harsh Australian conditions in mind whilst continually building on the HiLux’s ‘unbreakable’ reputation. Toyota saw that Hilux buyers were spending over $2000 on accessories for their vehicles making it no-brainer for Toyota to only enhance the off-road toughness and look of the already highly capable HiLux.

Rogue

The Rogue boasts a more urban feel with the Hexagon style front, perforated black leather seats, 18-inch wheels and a hard tonneau cover over a carpeted tray. The Rogue also comes exclusively with six-speed automatic transmission taking the stress off those unexpected bumper to bumper trips down the Bruce Highway. Early knock off's on a Friday will have you cruising back up the Coast ready for a weekend up the beach.
Rugged
The HiLux Rugged was designed for the 4x4 driver who is looking for the perfect balance functionality and off-road protection. Based on the HiLux SR double-cab, the 2.8-litre turbo-diesel, Rugged is offered with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions. Until now, Hilux buyers had to spend extra for off-road protection accessories such as a snorkel, side rock rails, sports bars and recovery points. The Rugged comes with all these accessories standard plus heavy duty accessories such as; 17” ‘Tough’ alloys, premium steel bulbar, steel rear bar with an integrated step that is designed for the busy Sunshine Coast tradie.
Rugged X
The HiLux Rugged X is the top of the range model and it’s easy to see why! The Rugged X is designed for off-road enthusiasts who are keen for serious 4x4 action. With its off-road focus, the Rugged X builds on the SR5 on which it is based with a host of protective, functional and recovery features that come standard such as; heavy-duty steel front bar and bash plate, led light bar and spread beam driving lights, snorkel, side rock rail and much more. The Rugged X was built ready for those extreme Landcruiser Park and Glass House Mountains adventures.
