Our team at Sunshine Toyota are extremely grateful to live here on the Sunshine Coast. From our glorious beaches to the serenity of the surrounding countryside and national parks, there is never a shortage of destinations for us to jump in the car and visit. Whether you are aiming to keep the kids entertained with something thrilling and exciting, or you’re venturing off to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I can guarantee there is a local destination for everyone to enjoy.
Take The Scenic Route Through The Hinterland
Think beautiful countryside views, stunning mountains and luscious green rainforests. The Sunshine Coast hinterland is well worth the trip, especially when the drive is this scenic and enjoyable. The hinterland sets the backdrop for the Sunshine Coast, but these areas are not to be forgotten about. From Maleny & Montville, through to the Glasshouse Mountains and Mapleton, there are plenty of adventures to be had. Stop for a coffee and meal at one of the many scenic cafes and restaurants, get that perfect Instagram shot at a picturesque lookout, or get your steps in through a rainforest trail. If art is something you enjoy, take some time out for a relaxing stroll through the inspiring art galleries and finish with a spot of shopping.
If you’re heading to Maleny, our Content Creation Administrator Chantal suggests an early breakfast at the Orangery Maleny and a spot of homewares shopping while you’re there. Then take a trip to the Maleny Dairies, because where else do you get the opportunity to feed calves in the morning? Stop for a delicious lunch at King Ludwig’s German Restaurant, and then grab some Maleny chocolate on the way home. There really are so many beautiful ways to spend your day in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, and we definitely recommend making the trip.

Have Some Fun In The Sun At Kings Beach
Located a short 8 min drive from our Sunshine Toyota Currimundi dealership, Kings Beach is a destination we all know and love. Our Business Manager Michael listed Kings Beach as his favourite local day-trip destination. There really is something for the whole family to experience. The beautiful stretch of beach is patrolled and safe to enjoy. Go straight from the surf and into the ocean-front swimming pool, a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else. The little ones are going to absolutely love playing in the auto-timed water fountain; it may even be difficult to make them leave. Kings beach also has a wide range of restaurants and cafes for you to choose from, so there really is so much to do if you take a day trip to this much loved Sunshine Coast destination.

Fall In Love With Buderim Falls
If you are looking to unwind and re-charge for the day, you are going to adore the serenity of Buderim Falls. Tucked away in the heart of Buderim, you will feel like you took a step out of reality and into an oasis. Take a relaxing walk through the rainforest and arrive at the most stunning waterfall. It is quite easy to sit and stare for hours at the beauty of the cascading water, and listen to the glorious sound of the birds. Take a picnic down to the falls, and really soak in the beauty of this wonderful little haven. If you’re keen to get those steps in, there are some great walking trails for you to explore and enjoy. Buderim Falls is definitely one of our favourite local destinations and is an excellent choice for that day trip you’ve been planning.
