As Christmas quickly approaches, the employees here at Sunshine Toyota are getting into the festive spirit. Christmas traditions are different for everyone, so we thought we would ask around and see how some of our employees prepare for the big day or how they spend it – whether it’s watching a specific movie or baking a certain dish!

To start us off, we have Michael in our Finance department, whose Christmas tradition is to eat soppas (a type of soup) at midnight on Christmas Eve.

Next, we have Mitchell in New Car Sales, who spends his Christmas visiting his family and friends in Brisbane. The day usually isn't complete without a nerf gun war with his cousins!

Kristie in our Currimundi Service department enjoys getting into the festive spirit early by putting up her tree in October, and then likes a glass of schnapps on Christmas Eve.

Izzy from our Marketing department typically has her Christmas meal at lunch and takes a quick afternoon siesta in between swimming in the pool.

Dan, our New Car Sales Manager (and self-proclaimed Resident Grinch), enjoys going against the norm and doing something different every year!

Ryan, our Pre-Owned Car Sales Manager prepares for Christmas by watching Die Hard. He spends at least part of his Christmas day in the pool, waiting for the Boxing Day Cricket Test Match.

Chantal in our Marketing department watches the movie Love Actually without fail and goes swimming in the pool at some point throughout Christmas Day.

Calum in our New and Pre-Owned Sales department enjoys watching Die Hard, Home Alone, The Elf and The Grinch in the lead up to Christmas. Unfortunately, he likes to see snow too but hasn’t seen any in Australia (yet).

Luke in New Car Sales typically watches the movie Home Alone to prepare for Christmas and then makes egg nog and rum balls with his family.

Ros from our Administration department loves to spend Christmas catching up with her family and enjoying the break!

Dylan in New Car Sales takes his son and daughter to the Lifepoint Baptist Church musical lights display every year before Christmas Eve, which they love.

As you can see, everyone spends the lead up to Christmas and the day differently. It’s important to remember that Christmas traditions are what we make them and can be as simple as relaxing with family and friends! From all of us at Sunshine Toyota, we wish you a safe and Merry Christmas.
