Sunshine Toyota's COVID-19 Business Operations change during lockdown periods. Please contact our dealership directly if you require assistance.

Q: What COVID safe practices are you implementing?
A: We are serious about minimising the chances for COVID-19 to spread at Sunshine Toyota and have implemented the following practices.

Sales:

  • Every vehicle is COVID cleaned after each test drive (all touchpoints are sanitised including steering wheel, door handles, seat belts, entertainment console, mirrors etc)
  • Each table in our sales cafe is sanitised in between all customers including chairs
  • We have temporarily suspended our tea & coffee facilities in the sales cafe
  • Our sales team are sanitising trade in-vehicle touchpoints, before & after they look at a trade-in vehicle
  • All customer keys are placed into zip-lock bags by customers to ensure Sunshine Toyota staff are not directly touching them
  • We are asking that all customers wear a mask during their visit with us as we are unable to social distance during test drives
  • We are still requesting all customers check-in via the QLD Check-In app

Service:

  • Every vehicle is COVID cleaned after each service including internal handovers between Advisors & Technicians (all touchpoints are sanitised including steering wheel, door handles, seat belts, entertainment console, mirrors etc)
  • All staff are wearing masks whenever they are in a customer vehicle
  • All customer keys are placed into zip-lock bags by customers to ensure Sunshine Toyota staff are not directly touching them
  • Our Service team are wearing masks 100% of the time (including outdoors when checking-in customer vehicles
  • We have temporarily removed the coffee machine from the service customer lounge, our team are more than happy to make a coffee for you. 
  • Our courtesy bus is running at reduced capacity and we ask that all customers sanitised before entry and wear a masks at all times as we are unable to social distance.
  • We are asking that all customers wear a mask during their visit with us as we are unable to social distance during test drives
  • We are still requesting all customers check-in via the QLD Check-In app

 

Q: If the Sunshine Coast region is in a lock-down, what services will remain open?
A: In the event of a lockdown, if it is safe to do so Sunshine Toyota will remain open as we are considered an essential service. Below are the services that we offer:

  • Service: business as usual for emergency breakdown services, logbook service & parts enquiries. We are unable to offer a courtesy bus service or customer waiting lounge areas during lockdown periods, we do have loan cars available that are sanitised before & after each use.

  • Sales: phone & online enquiry welcomed, we offer video walk-arounds of all on-site vehicles, contactless delivery options and order & collect service is available. During a lockdown period, we are unable to offer test drives and request that you do not visit our showroom. 

  • Parts: remains open for all essential business, trade and public enquiries (phone & online only). We encourage contactless interaction where possible during a lockdown period.

Q: Is the Service Centre still open?
A: Absolutely! Our service centre is still running, with heightened hygiene measures in place to ensure the health and safety of both our customers and our team at all times. We even offer contactless pick-up & drop-off services. You can book a service online here

Q: Can you pick up my car for service?
A: Yes, we can facilitate this for you! If you feel that you are at risk if you visit our dealership, we can facilitate a pick-up and drop-off service for you. You can have full confidence that all hygiene practices will still be implemented.

Q: Can I still take a vehicle on a test drive?
A: During lock-down periods we unfortunately do not offer test drives to customers as we are not able to socially distance. When we are not in a lockdown period, yes of course! Both our team and all customers are sanitising their hands before and after every test drive. We are also sanitising the vehicles door handles, gear sticks and steering wheels in between each test drive. You can book a test drive here

Q: Are you practicing social distancing?
A: We have implemented multiple measures to ensure we are practicing social distancing. This includes spacing out our customer service and sales areas, barriers around the reception area to implement the 1.5 metre rule and ensuring we do not allow more than the recommended amount of people in the dealership.

Q: Can you deliver my new car to me?
A: Yes! If you do not feel comfortable visiting the dealership, we are MORE THAN HAPPY to deliver your new car to you via contactless delivery!

Q: Can I bring my kids into the dealership?
A: During lockdown periods our sales showroom is closed so unfortunately we can not have any customers inside the showroom. When not in lockdown, yes, we are still welcoming the whole family into the dealership. Our kids bored room has had all toys and PlayStation controllers removed and is thoroughly sanitised throughout the day and at the end of each day. Netflix is still streaming though to keep your little ones entertained!

A: In addition to our existing high hygiene standards, we have implemented the following new measures to ensure the safety of you, our customer, and our team during this time:

Technicians and Service Advisors are always wearing gloves when dealing with customer vehicles
Keeping customers keys in snap lock bags throughout the entirety of their service
Contactless payment
Sanitising of customers vehicles steering wheel and door handles at pick-up
Spacing barriers at reception to implement social distancing
Removal of magazines from service lounge
A spaced-out service lounge area

Q: What hygiene methods do you currently have in place in Sales?
A: In addition to our existing high hygiene standards, we have implemented the following new measures to ensure the safety of you, our customer, and our team during this time:

Sanitising of cafe tables and chairs and reception counters after every customer leaves
Contactless payments
Steering covers for new vehicle deliveries
Sales team regularly sanitising and washing hands
Removal of all toys in the kid's area
We have removed all gaming controllers in the kid's area
Regular sanitising of kids room
Using disposable cups only to continue providing delicious beverages
