We had the pleasure of hosting the Buderim Foundation’s first Happy Hour event of the year at our Sippy Downs location on Friday 16th March. The Happy Hour is held to provide an opportunity for like-minded businesses to come together and talk about what amazing things the Buderim Foundation has been doing in the community and to learn how the future of the Foundation has been shaped to grow bigger than it has ever been before. All profits from drink purchased on the night go directly into the corpus, which is used to provide grants to Buderim-based organisations that grow, protect and preserve our environment and local businesses.
This year the Buderim Foundation has set a challenge to raise the corpus from $1.4m to $2m by the end of 2018 so they can continue to increase the amount they are able to inject back into the Buderim community through generous grants.
As major sponsor of the Buderim Foundation, Sunshine Toyota is proud to be partnered with such a philanthropic foundation and are determined to help them succeed in reaching their $2m Community Challenge. So much so, that Sunshine Toyota’s Dealer Principal, Darren Venning, pledged $5,000 towards the 2018 Community Challenge, and then pledged an extra $500 for every car sold this year to anyone who mentions the Buderim Foundation upon purchase! We are excited to see how the Foundation will continue to positively impact the community in years to come!
