#1: Does my Toyota Hybrid need to be plugged in to charge?

No! You’ll never have to plug your Toyota Hybrid in to charge. You might be thinking about an electric car which DOES need to be plugged in. Toyota Hybrids combine the power of a petrol engine with electric motors so you’ll get the best of both worlds. You’ll still need to fill your car up to keep it running but your electric motor will take care of itself by charging as you drive. How cool is that?!

#2: Are Toyota Hybrid’s expensive?

Buying a Hybrid has never been more affordable! The cost of a hybrid compared to a petrol vehicle has dramatically decreased over the years. Depending on the make and model of the Toyota Hybrid you’re looking for, you may be looking at as little as an extra  $1000 to get yourself a Hybrid. The best part is going Hybrid will end up saving you money on petrol!

#3: Do Toyota Hybrid’s require extra maintenance?

No way! Your Toyota Hybrid won’t require extra maintenance. At Sunshine Toyota, our Toyota trained technicians know exactly how to service all Hybrid vehicles like they would any other vehicle. Your Hybrid’s combined engine and regenerative breaking means there’ll be less wear on your engine and parts like brake pads. So your Hybrid service will cost about the same amount as a conventional Toyota service. Don’t forget that Toyota also offers capped price servicing on your new vehicle for 12 months or 15,000km (whichever comes first)!
