We’ve known for a while now that the Corolla Cross was coming, but we wanted to share with you the first sneak peek photos & specs from its debut in Europe this month! Here’s everything we know so far…
Launching in late 2022, the Corolla Cross will become the 8th SUV/4WD to join the Toyota line-up and in a segment where you’re flooded for choice, this good-looking mid-size SUV will no doubt soon be on your shopping list.
Featuring a new 2.0L Hybrid Powertrain, it offers even more power, more torque, greater efficiency & improved drivability than some of our other Hybrid models. This is pretty exciting stuff when you look at what a beautiful drive the rest of our Hybrid range is! The all-new model will come with a choice of front-wheel drive (2WD) petrol & hybrid, as well as an AWD model which introduces the latest 2.0L Hybrid powertrain for the first time in a Toyota vehicle.
Excitingly, the Corolla Cross range will also include a raft of improved features as part of the Toyota Safety Sense platform, which will be standard across the range.
Sean Hanley (Vice President for Sales, Marketing & Franchise Operations for Toyota Australia) said that the “all-new Corolla Cross will meet the demands of small SUV buyers as a practical, versatile and stylish small SUV.”
"We know Australians love their SUVs and Toyota is continuing to meet that demand by offering an ever-growing range of models, all of which are introducing our fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain and advanced safety technology," Mr Hanley said.
"The all-new Corolla Cross delivers the sort of style, versatile space and dynamic driving characteristics that will appeal to young families and couples alike," he said.
Built on the TNGA-C platform, the all-new Corolla Cross will slot into the Toyota SUV range between the Yaris Cross and RAV4, alongside the C-HR.
Inside, the Corolla Cross receives the latest multimedia system which includes wireless Apple CarPlay®1 and wired Android Auto2.
We will share more details on our socials as we come to know them!
