Driving your Toyota should be an enjoyable, simple and safe experience. We spend enough time in our vehicles throughout our lifetime to know that sometimes, unexpected situations can arise and strike us by surprise on the road. Enter, Toyota Connected Services.
Toyota Connected Services (TCS) is a total suite of intelligent and advanced technology, keeping you connected to the Toyota team at all times during your travels. This incredible feature is built into selected new Toyota vehicles, and will leave you with peace of mind that no matter how unexpected the situation that may arise, you have 24/7 support. We’re not being dramatic when we say that Toyota Connected Services could literally save your life in the event of an emergency.
TCS operates via an inbuilt communication device fitted in the vehicle. This feature doesn’t require your mobile data or internet to operate. It simply utilises the inbuilt communication device to connect to the mobile network, from wherever you are in your vehicle.
There are three main features that make up the TCS suite of technology.
Stolen Vehicle Tracking (SVT)
No one ever expects to have their vehicle stolen. Unfortunately though, it does happen. In this unfortunate situation, the best chance of getting it back is taking prompt action. This is where the Stolen Vehicle Tracking (SVT) feature comes in really handy. Should your Toyota be stolen, your vehicle can be located and tracked by Toyota’s Stolen Vehicle Assistance call centre, and the Police, to help you re-cover and re-unite with your vehicle in no time.
Automatic Collision Notification (ACN)
Most of us at some point in our driving career have been (or will be) involved in a collision of some sort, whether that is a minor bump or a major accident. Being involved in a collision can cause a lot of anxiety and stress, and often the involved parties are unsure of what to do next. That’s where the Automatic Collision Notification (ACN) feature saves the day.
In the event of a severe collision (or the deployment of your vehicles airbags), the ACN feature will detect the collision and automatically notify the Toyota Emergency Call Centre that you have been involved in an accident. It will do so, even in the event that you are unable to place the call. This incredible feature works to detect the collision via built-in sensors in the vehicle. A trained Toyota representative will contact you through your speakers, so you can ask for help if you require it. If you don’t answer (say, you’re injured or even unconscious), Toyota will immediately contact Emergency Services and send them directly to your location to help you. This kind of support in a collision is extremely valuable, and is just another reason why we love Toyota Connected Services.
SOS Emergency Call (SOS)
All vehicles with Toyota Connected Services are fitted with an SOS Emergency Call button, located within easy-reach in the overhead console of compatible Toyotas. With one push of this button you will be connected to a trained advisor, who will assess your emergency and send the emergency services directly to your location should you need them. With one button, you have access to 24/7 support from Toyota should you need help. How great is that?
Toyota Connected Services allows you to enjoy your adventures in your Toyota with the ultimate peace of mind for your safety. With this innovative technology, Toyota will be here for you when you need them most and keep you connected wherever you may go.
